Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is a profession where licensed therapists evaluate and treat patients, helping them to regain the function that has been lost due to illness or injury.  Here at County Physical Therapy we believe that exercise is an important part of every treatment program.  The exercises used vary depending on the individual patient’s needs; they may include gentle stretching or more advanced balance and strengthening exercises using equipment in the clinic.

In conjunction with exercises, therapists frequently use therapeutic modalities to help accelerate the healing process.  These modalities may include moist heat, cryotherapy, electrical stimulation and/or iontophoresis. Physical therapy is an essential component in promoting recovery and return to prior level of function for those suffering from sprains and strains, as well as more complicated orthopedic and neurological issues.
