Matthew Michaud MPT
Clinic Director – Fort Kent, Physical TherapistBiography
Matthew Michaud, a native of Fort Kent, graduated summa cum laude from Husson College (now Husson University) in 2006. During his education, Matt experienced a variety of clinical experiences including outpatient PT under the instruction of CPT’s Paul Marquis, PT, acute rehabilitation/skilled nursing in Washington, D.C., and orthopedic acute rehabilitation at the prestigious Howard Head Sports Medicine Center/Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
Since then, Matt has been working in the Fort Kent and Madawaska clinics, treating a wide variety of patients and diagnoses. Matt’s professional interests include preventative sports medicine for young athletes, pre-season sports conditioning, post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation, and trigger point and myofascial release treatments. As the Fort Kent clinic manager, Matt takes pride in educating and directing his patients to follow his theory of “move to improve”. He believes that a gradual return to function, athlete and elderly alike, requires a commitment to consistency of exercise in a controlled environment.
Matt carries this philosophy over to his personal life, as he is an avid cyclist and skier, always looking for an opportunity to exercise and stay fit. Matt has taken this to the next level, partnering with CPT founder Mark Rossignol, to create Fresh Tracks Adventures, an all-inclusive cycling touring company, offering guided cycling tours throughout New England and Tuscany, Italy.
Matt resides in Fort Kent with his lovely wife Kellie, two wonderful boys, Quinn and Reed and his rambunctious golden retriever, Bentley.
